Luna Launches for Android via Chrome Browser

The Verge reports that Amazon’s cloud gaming service, Luna, is now available for newer Android devices via the Chrome browser. Specifically, Luna is available for the following devices:

Pixel 4XL, 4A, 4A 5G, 5

Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, Note 10, Note 10 Plus, S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra, Note 20, Note 20 Ultra

OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 8, 8 Pro, Nord, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G

Support for further devices will roll out over time.

Luna already supports iOS devices as well, similarly playable via the Safari browser. For full device support, see the official help article. GeForce Now also recently launched for iOS.

Apple has been silent so far on cloud gaming services circumventing their Apple Store policies. They have said, though, that they cannot offer cloud gaming apps because Apple would need to vet every game playable via the service. Apple may take action to block the streaming services from Safari in the near future, but we’ll keep you updated.
