Luna Officially Launches In the U.S.

Amazon has officially launched its Luna cloud gaming service in the mainland U.S. Until now, Luna has been in invitation-only early access.

We’re thrilled to bring Amazon Luna to everyone in the mainland US, making it easy to instantly start gaming on the devices you already own. We’ve received amazing feedback from our early access customers, which has enabled us to improve the service with regular updates, new features, and an ever-growing collection of fun and exciting games. Customers have appreciated how easy it is to get started with Luna. You just pick up and play high-quality and immersive games, without lengthy game downloads, hardware upgrades, or game updates.

Luna is available in a number of channels grouped by audience, including Family and Retro channels, and a newly launched Prime Channel. Amazon Prime members can play several games at no additional cost. If you have a Prime membership, this is definitely the best way to test out Luna. The Luna+ channel might be considered the flagship service, featuring a bigger library and a wider selection of game genres.

New customers can try Luna with a free 7-day trial. A free Amazon account is required to sign up.

For a limited time, existing and new Luna customers can lock-in a discounted price.

Existing early access customers and customers that sign up for Luna+ or Family Channel by March 31, 2022 can lock in founder pricing and keep Luna+ at $5.99 per month and Family Channel $2.99 per month for so long as they maintain their subscriptions in good standing.

On April 1, a new subscription for Luna+ will cost $9.99 per month. The Family Channel will cost $5.99 per month. The Retro Channel and Jackbox Games Channel are $4.99 each per month, and the Ubisoft+ Channel is $17.99 a month.

The Luna controller is also on sale for $49.99.
